I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope the game play makes up for quality. I love CR and I love boardgames, but the components in this game are pretty rough. I love the metal character pieces, but the casting is messy, the cardstock is very thin compared to most other board games (especially in this price range), and like another reviewer mentioned, the cardboard character tokens are too big for their bases. I was able to trim the bases down with an exacto knife to avoid damage, but it still doesn't look great with a big gap at the top. The board does look good.
I expected to be paying for the branding when you can pick up the standard version of clue for $11, but for an extra $32, I was really hoping for better quality.
it looks amazing, and brings something new to the old game.
The only downside i had with the product was that some of the character standees couldn't really fit into their bases
unless you shoved them in, which unfortunately caused the bottom of the beautiful standees to scrunch up T^T
Clue was one of my fam' fav games growing up. Then I started playing it in an adult game group. My friend bought this to change things up . It's got some fun twists, and only 3 of the 7 of our group are critters, yet it's been a hit with all. We've had a blast each 5 times we've played so far!
