A beautiful work of art and a great setting.

Everything you need to get started in Taldorei in D&D 5e along with some stunning artwork and great advice.
Are there areas that I wish this went deeper into? Yes, but in the end it's a campaign setting book and not going into a deep dive depth on everything allows for them to do so later.
Would highly recommend for any GM/DM or even players interested in the setting.

    Great Book!

I got into the whole universe of Critical Role and its characters by a friend of mine and I started listening to the podcast with Campaign 3, towards the end. However, I got back into DnD myself and wanted to see what inspiration I could pull from Matt and gang from this book and I was glad I was able to get it! Thanks for making this book, I hope that Matt will be able to make another book at the conclusion of the third campaign because I would like to see more with Ruidus!

    Solid book, solid PDF

I bought the physical book a long time ago- when it first came out, in fact- and since then I’ve lamented not having the PDF. I shall lament no more! I’m in love with all the magic items; the doublet of dramatic demise is one of my favorites. One day I’d like to be a good enough DM to run a Tal’dorei campaign- I’m working on it!

    A Beautiful Piece of Work!

Truly a tome serving as a guide and overview of the continent of Tal'dorei. It is clear a great deal of high quality and hard work has gone into this, just from reading through it. Well done, I salute you!

Most detailed campaign book I’ve ever read

The CR team has outdone themselves, as usual! This book as an almost overwhelming amount of detail and answers nearly every question about the continent. This is clearly a passion project, a creation of love.

    Wonderful beyond words!!

This was gifted to me (a DM) by a player in PDF form, and I've been adoring it greatly. It's beautifully made, with all the quality and depth you'd expect from an official D&D sourcebook, if not even more. Personally, I've been getting the most use out of the elaborations regarding hemocraft and the Claret Orders, but I look forward to finding other things in the book to delve into for my own uses!!

Fun fact: If you use D&D Beyond, while this book is not an official sourcebook baked-in to the DDB database, a ton of superheroes have transcribed things from this book (such as the Feats it introduces) to the publicly-accessible homebrew catalogue! When browsing homebrew creations on DDB, search for "TDCSR" or some other equivalent reference to this book's title (if not the specific entity you're after, such as the name of a feat), and without fail, someone has imported it for free collection and use by others, making it virtually seamless to use this content on DDB despite it not being a supplement hosted there. Add the entity to your personal collection of homebrew, and then it'll be available for your own use, as well as the use of anyone in a campaign with you (provided content sharing has been enabled for that campaign)!

    Fantastic resource

I run a sandbox/spiral campaign set in a homebrew world. I picked this up because why not see how the masters do it, right? Full of inspiration, the artwork alone is worth the purchase price. Love the updated lore on the familiar characters. Really just love everything about it.
