This limited edition hardcover is exclusive to the Critical Role online shops and features the same outstanding 120 pages of story-content as the trade paperback, in addition to extras including a sketchbook section and a series cover gallery! This special limited edition also includes a purple faux-leather, foil stamped cover and slipcase. The slipcase houses the book itself as well as a commemorative lithograph print featuring gorgeous artwork of the Bright Queen by Helen Mask, kept safe in a cloth portfolio.
In this series, we find Leylas Kryn, the Bright Queen, who has spent multiple lives in pursuit of assembling the otherworldly Luxon. So, when another piece appears nearby, Leylas sends her eternal lover Quana to collect it… with consequences that may threaten the entire Dynasty! Hope for the future clashes with darkness from the past.

Customers praised this limited edition hardcover for its "gorgeous" art, beautiful story, and exceptional quality. Many described it as "absolutely stunning" with vibrant illustrations and premium materials. However, several shoppers reported mold damage on cloth portfolios, attributed to poor warehouse storage conditions, leading to disappointment for collectors.
I really do want to love this as much as the others in the collection, but the copy I got sent has some sort of mold-looking damage to the art folder. I ordered The Bright Queen and Vox Machina Origins Vol 3 at the same time, and the quality of Vox was fine. The rest of the book and the slip cover box of TBQ are fine, but the cloth bound part has these spots on it. I’m pretty disappointed with the quality on this one, as I love to have the piece as a collectors item.

The book quality is great and I love the story! I'm a big fan of collecting special edition books and this one is gorgeous!
To start, the story itself is great, and the art is beautiful. I'm going to enjoy going back through it more slowly to see the little details I missed the first time. It's nice to see the Kryn Dynasty from a different angle. I definitely recommend it. The only issue I have is that this was clearly sitting in a dark damp place for a while. The book itself is undamaged, however the cloth portfolio that holds the commemorative lithograph print has some speckles of mold on it. (My copy of Vox Machina Origins Vol 3 limited edition hardcover has the same problem). I understand that CR can't control the standards of random warehouses across the country, let alone the world, but perhaps in the future they could either choose a different, more durable, less mold friendly material for the cover, OR find a way to make the packaging more waterproof. I'm knocking a star off for the mold, but otherwise I'm satisfied.

I loved this series when it was first printed, and if you did too, you'll enjoy the lovely treatment given to this special hardback collection. I ordered this for myself as a birthday present since my current (and longest-surviving) character is a Kryn bard, and slightly older me is high-fiving past me for making a good choice.
It was a gift for my husband's birthday. As I predicted, he loves it! Has declared it off limits to the kids! Lol. I loved the quality. Thank you so much for this beautiful book.
My first copy had a white fuzz on the outside of the portrait, most likely mold due to some moisture trapped inside before being sealed in the plastic. Sent a message about the issue and a representative got back to me, we chatted, I sent a few pictures and they sent a new copy from a different warehouse. overall a very pleasant experience.
The copy of the book, as almost everyone before stated, is up to the usual level of greatness. Great feeling in your hand, fantastic illustrations, and a great story. Thank you again, Dark Horse and Critical Role for a fantastic product.

It's just so beautiful. The cover, the slip case, and the art print are all high quality and absolutely stunning. Pictures do not do it justice, honestly. The comic itself is gorgeously drawn, and the story is beautiful as well. I was beyond excited to get more lore about the Bright Queen and this was more than I could have hoped for.
