These dice are absolutely stunning, photos don't do them justice. The color is beautiful and the sharp edges make them feel so well made. The flecks of glitter inside are so flashy and beautiful and it makes me excited to play my next game of d&d. 10/10 recommend!
Every time I roll them, I notice a little bit of saltwater comes off in my hand. I was really excited to roll a 20 first time I tried them, but I immediately felt so hungry I almost ate the dice. Look forward to using them in my new game, just had to push it back a week because I havent been sleeping much. Weird dreams.
I love the colour of the dice, the dark green, the specks of gold inside, but the numbers don't do it for me. The dark red is barely legible, and for me, I would rather preferred orange/gold numbers, matching Uk'otoa eyes. So, after receiving the dice, I repainted the numbers using a small brush, a gold paint for painting miniatures and a piece of cloth to wipe the excess. It worked like a charm. I love them now!
Fjord is one of my favorite CR characters, so when I saw this set I had to get it. I like the theme and the colors, but the concept is better than the execution.
The dice feel and roll good, and seem to be well-balanced. They are a dark shade of green which drowns out some of the shimmer and sparkle, but when that does appear it looks *very* pretty.
The red numbers are the biggest mark against the dice. They are hard to read even on closer inspection, let alone at a glance. See the included photo for a comparison between the D20 from this set and the one from Essek's set.
Perhaps they work better in daylight or in white light. For my personal use they unfortunately are simply too dark.
These dice are so beautiful in real life. A success story for my increasingly large dice horde! They proper feel like sea dice! Loving the champion dice range!
